Shekar Kammula is back with a good script for 'Godavari'. His selection
of team is fine. He needs an appreciation for his achievement in
presenting a movie with good concept to attract the audience. The movie
is expected to repeat the same magic as 'Anand'.
Sriram (Sumanth) is an engineer who returns from US. He is interested
in doing good to the society. Sriram is in love with his sister-in-law
Raaji (Neetu Chandra) but she has different ideas. She is more
realistic. Her marriage is fixed with Ravindra (Kamal Kamaraju), an IPS
officer and the marriage is scheduled to take place in Bhadrachalam. On
his way to Bhadrachalam, Sriram meets Seeta (Kamalini Mukherjee). The
journey and the river conspire with the elements to get the two united.
Meanwhile, Raaji realizes how good Sriram is, and requests him to marry
her. And how Sriram handles the situation is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Sumanth's role is excellent. He lived in his character. His love for
his sister-in-law and his do-good are well screened. Kamalini Mukherjee
did her role well. She had a good chemistry with Sumanth. Neetu Chandra
is to be applauded for her role who loves both his would be and Sriram.
Her emotions are good. Kamal and others did upto their content.
Narration of story is slow in second half. Music by Radhakrishna is one
of the assets. Cinematography and art need a special mention. Story,
direction and dialogues are fine.
