'Hari Puttar' is Directed by Lucky Kohli and Rajesh Bajaj. The director has come up with a regular plot but then the
presentation and narration both failed to live upto the mark.
A old and rugged tale, the story begins with Hari Prasad (Zain Khan) who moves to the UK from India as her
father Prof Dhoonda comes on a government assignment. He is working on a top secret project related to the
defence forces and he is in his own world. In this process, arrives Hari's aunt (Lillette Dubey) along with her kids,
uncle DK (Jackie Shroff) and even the kids of DK's boss. Hari's life takes a turn when the kids create havoc and
he is literally sidelined in this whole chaos.
However, his doting mother (Sarika) is around to help him at all times. Meanwhile, the entire lot plans for a
vacation and in the confusion, they leave for their holiday spot leaving behind Hari and his cousin Tuk Tuk (Swini)
at home. Meanwhile, the villain sends two of his best men Diesel (Saurabh Shukla) and Filter (Vijay Raaz) to
extract the chip that Hari's father has kept hidden in the house. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the
screen.
Presentation:
The script was written shoddily and the screenplay was executed with amateur hand. Editing was numb and the
music did not have any major appeal, the cinematography looked alright given the locations in the foreign soil.
The other departments need no mention here. Zain Khan has come out with a good performance and has proved
his mettle while the talented Swini did not get much to perform here. Jackie was grossly underutilized, Sarika was
mechanical, Lilette was okay, Saurabh and Vijay made a mockery of themselves.
