| An Exclusive Interview With Aarti Agarwal Aarti Agarwal, has created a sensation in Tollywood. Born and brought up in New Jersey, USA she is the much sought after heroine in the industry. Her recent release Indra with Megastar is creating waves at the boxoffice. Her upcoming movies include "Bobby" with Mahesh babu and "Nee Sneham" with Uday Kiran. How did your entry into Telugu films happen? Due to my basic interest in Music and dance, I joined an acting class in Bombay. Then, I got an offer in a hindi film "Paagalpan". Later Suresh babu and Venky saw some of my photographs and approached me with my first telugu offer. How did feel about being a part of the Telugu Film industry? Its a great place and I feel I am in the right place. Here, in telugu industry people work much faster. Its like after the packup of the shooting, you still have time for yourself. Nobody is bothered about stuff you are doing after work hours. So, It really feels good to be over here. Do you feel you are missing on your studies because of the acting assignments? No. I am not as I am doing my correspondence study while acting. When I have exams back in US (Aarti is from NewJersey) I always inform my producers that I cannot shoot during that week and go to US, give my exams and comeback. Who are your favourite heroes? Telugu it is Venky and in hindi Shahrukh Khan. Who are your favourite heroines? I have not watched many telugu films but I have heard about her - Soundarya. She is one of my favourites. I heard she is a very good actress and she carries herself in dignity. In hindi my favourite is Kajol.
Can you tell us about any unforgettable moment that you experienced while acting. It was during the shooting of my first film "Paagalpan". At that time I didn't even know how to speak hindi well as I was born and brought up in US and I have this english accent while speaking hindi. So, when I said my first dialogue in hindi, the whole unit including the director started laughing at me. That was the most embarrassing moment. Can you tell us about your experience doing this film "Bobby". Working in Bobby was a great experience for me. It was more like another family than a professional unit. We all got along very well. We worked real hard for the film. We all have given our 100% to it and hope audience will enjoy this one. I have given my 100% to the film and I wish the results are good too. I really enjoyed working for this film also because I feel very comfortable with my costars in the film and everybody else in the unit. What are upcoming and future projects? I just finished "Nee Sneham" (with Uday Kiran) and "Bobby" (with Mahesh). My next will be with Balakrishna which will be directed by Gopal garu. Then, I will be doing a film with Venky for Suresh Productions. Next year again I am working with N.T.R |
